Burge, B., Perret-Clermont, A., Pontecorvo, C., Resnick, L., & Zittoun, T. Joining Society: Social Interaction and Learning in Adolescence and Youth. (2003). Retrieved July 14, 2007 from Ebrary database.

The book relates research regarding “the adolescent phase of human development in the social context of a rapidly changing world.” This text explores the many different ways youth are learning and applying that knowledge in their modern lives. This book is composed from authors who are professors, two of which are international. This could be a solid authoritative resource.

Bach, A. Teen Lobbies to Lower Voting Age. (2002, March 3). Retrieved July 11, 2007 from Newsbank database.

Article demonstrates that teens are willing to fight for the right to vote, including going to the House committee to introduce a bill for lowering the voting age in America. This article is 5 years old, but the concept is still relevant. I also noticed there was a mention of a youth group called “Generation NOW” which I have been unsuccessful in locating through internet searches.
