D#2, HW#7 - Finding Something to Say

I am rarely at a loss for words, however, organizing what I have to say is another story. I enjoy freewriting as it allows me to write whatever I want and not worry about grammar, spelling or punctuation. This is generally how I begin to write everything. After I write or type what I want to say, then I clean it up by organizing and moving my thoughts around accordingly. Brainstorming also helps when I need to add additional content. I review what I've written and start asking questions that generates more ideas (i.e. who, what, when, where, why and how.)

I've already decided the main topic for my research paper will be on Voting. As this topic is too broad, I now need to focus on narrowing the topic. Perhaps I'll focus on informing Americans about the privilege and right to vote.

I write in a similar way. I am the type of person that would rather just get things done. I have a hard time sitting down and making an outline. I am not a person who likes to make things redundant and for me outlines feel like this.
