I struggled this week to complete this deadline. I believe it’s because I get caught up in trying to research my subject (through the internet) that I forget to focus on the tasks (deadlines) which actually might help me. Unfortunately, due to my struggle this week, I was unable to posts comments on my fellow classmates’ blogs in a timely manner, which would have been helpful to some, as I felt I had answers they could have benefited from. I didn’t learn much from posting to their blogs regarding research and writing processes as the questions were more focused on technical aspects. However, I did post comments for Jay to possibly help further his research for “hot products” and “who goes through the waiting.” I also posted a comment for Shawn about using “spelling/grammar” feature in word and how I too have difficulty determining ‘what’s important’ when reading text.
I had a little trouble with HW#2 in that I somehow skipped this general assignment prompt in the syllabus, so I was lost when it came time to do it. Evaluating Web Sites was an awesome tool to learn about. Not knowing how to evaluate web sites is part of the reason I get lost in my research (and part of the reason my research takes so long.) Hopefully, now, I’ll be able to progress through researching much quicker and easier knowing how to evaluate which web sites to use for information.
